MYSURU: Actor Ram Charan met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Mysuru on Sunday during the shooting of his upcoming Telugu film, Peddi.

The Chief Minister shared photos from the meeting on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Telugu actor Ram Charan, who is participating in the shooting of ‘Peddi’ movie, met me today in Mysuru and had a conversation for a while.”

Last month, the Telugu superstar showcased his new look for the film on Instagram. The post highlighted his sculpted arms, thick beard, and man bun, reflecting his intense preparation for the role. Charan captioned the post: “Changeover for @peddimovie begins!! Pure grit. True joy.”

Cast and film details

Peddi features Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu in key roles. Earlier this year, a teaser titled ‘Peddi First Shot’ was released on Ram Navami, showing Charan in a rugged avatar walking into a dusty field, lighting a beedi, and delivering the line: “I have only one life to live, and I want to make the most of it.”

The film is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings as presenters. Directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is scheduled for a global release on March 27, 2026.
