Wildlife enthusiasts embarking on a safari from the Dammanakatte gate experienced an unforgettable morning on Friday. Travelers aboard three buses and five jeeps were in for a spectacular treat as they witnessed a rare and mesmerizing sight.
The famed seven-year-old tigress, widely recognized as “Magge,” was spotted strolling with her four playful cubs along Sunkadakatte guest house road, deep within the Antharasanthe Range of Nagarahole Tiger Reserve, situated in H.D. Kote taluk of Mysuru district.
The stunning visuals of the tigress and her young ones, captured by lucky visitors, have rapidly gained traction on social media, drawing admiration from wildlife lovers across the internet.
As per Nagarahole Tiger Reserve veterinarian Dr. Ramesh, Magge welcomed her cubs into the world in January. This isn’t her first litter—she had previously given birth to two cubs, further cementing her role in bolstering the region’s tiger population.
Such rare sightings not only highlight the thriving biodiversity of the reserve but also emphasize the importance of conservation efforts that protect these magnificent creatures and their natural habitat.
