Royal City of Mysuru to get slice of Tulunadu on August 28

Mysuru: For the first time Mysuru city will witness and get a slice of coastal Karnataka. Thanks to Karavali Samskruthika Chavadi, which has decided to conduct ‘Kesarda Kandodu Onji Dina’ (a day in slush fields) at Agoli Manjanna Vedike, ‘Bakimar Kanda’ at Vijayanagara  fourth stage ( Behind Vijayanagara Bus Depot) on August 28.
The natives of Karavali are spread across the world, but they still respect and implement their culture and custom where they live. Keeping this in mind, Karavali Samskruthika Chavadi, Hootagalli , Mysuru has organised a day long program in slush field. They will be organizing various events including Kabbadi, Volleyball, tug-of-war, brisk walking, Throwball, running race and treasure hunt which all will be played in slush field. In Mysuru city alone, there are more than 1000 families belonging to the various communities hailing from Karavali coast. Most of them are into business. The games in slushy fields is an integral part of Tuluva culture as the coastal belt of Karnataka has been predominantly an agrarian society. However, for this event several modern games have been seamlessly blended into the traditional wet land.

On the occasion the organisers will be felicitating Sukesh Hegde who represented Indian Kabaddi Team and won Gold medal in 12th South Asian Games in Gawahati and represented India in 4th Beach Asian Games in Thailand and Prashanth Rai, Kaikara Pro Kabddi Player ( Dabang Delhi ) proud players from Karavali.

Sudhakar S Shetty, Vice President, FKCCI, Karnataka will be inaugurating the event and would be presided by Dinesh Shetty, President of Karavali Samskruthika Chavadi Hootaglli, Mysuru, Srinivas Rao, President Dakshina Kannada Jilla Sangha, Mysuru, Sudhir Shetty, Chairman Lab Land Bio Tech Pvt Ltd, Gracian Rodriguez, Cheluvachar owner of Bakimar Farm, Kiran Kotiyan, Nagaraj Industries are the Chief Guests .
