Mysuru: On the Occasion of World Tourism day 2017, the Ministry of Tourism-Government of India had organised the National Tourism Awards for the year 2015-16. The Best National Tourism Film Award (Special Award) was bagged by Safe Wheels Tours & Travels for “VISIT MYSURU” film, for promoting Mysuru Tourism which enhances the heritage and culture of Mysuru and its tourism.
The awards were presented by the President of India Ramnath Kovind at Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on Wednesday. K J Alphons, Minister of State (IC) for Tourism and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology presided over the function.
Speaking after receiving the award, B S Prashanth, Managing Director, Safe Wheels Tours & Travels, Safe Wheels Group, said, “It’s really a great honour to receive the award from President of India and I feel proud to be an Indian, to represent Mysuru in a national platform and even our state. This film was directed and produced in 2015 and had received overwhelming response in social media which reached lakhs of tourists around the world.”
