Sanitisation work: MCC to shut down Devaraj Market, nearby areas for four days

Mysuru: Due to spike in Covid-19 cases in the heart of the city, the Mysuru City Corporation has decided to completely shut down Devaraja Market and other surrounding areas for the next four days.

The city corporation has taken this decision to sanitize the entire area, which includes Devaraja Market, Santhe Pete, Shivaram Pete, Mannars Market and Boti Bazar. All these areas will be shut down for the next four days.

Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde, in a press release, informed that while starting the activities after four days, all precautionary measures should be taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Maintaining social distance and wearing masks is mandatory.

“Anybody having symptoms of Covid-19 like cold and fever should inform the health officials of the city corporation,” the press release informed.
