Mysuru: Chikkamagaluru BJP Member of Parliament Shobha Karandlaje offered prayers atop Chamundi Hills on the third Friday of Ashada season on July 14.

Shobha reached the Chamudeshwari temple atop the hill on foot and offered prayers in the company of her friends and well-wishers.

She prayed specifically to strengthen state chief minister so that the killers of RSS activist Sharat Madival are brought to book.

Farmers burdened by loans are committing suicides after failing to reap harvest. The drought situation in the state is alarming with deficit rainfall which has resulted in crop losses and suicides, said Shobha emerging from the temple after seeking divine help to protect the farming community.

“The law and order situation in the state which remained worse during Dr. G Parameshwara’s tenure as home minister has reached a ‘Dead State’ with no security for officials. If the situation in the central prison of the state in total mess, then one can imagine in other parts,” Shobha inferred.

The state chief minister is involved in appeasing a particular community and doesn’t name it as “Muslim” fearing vote loss and is indulging in vote bank politics, Shobha charged.

The vote bank politics is primarily responsible for the communal tension in DK, Shobha said and dared home ministry advisor Kempaiah to arrest RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
