Mysuru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday responded to allegations made by Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy, stating that the JD(S) leader is attempting to deflect attention from his own “mistakes” by making “false allegations against others.” Siddaramaiah’s remarks came during a press interaction in Mysuru.
ED Complaint and MUDA Case
Siddaramaiah was asked about a complaint lodged against him with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) by Mysuru-based RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna regarding issues with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). Siddaramaiah responded by saying that he is unaware of the complainant and that the Lokayukta is already handling the case. “If a complaint has been filed with the ED, they will act according to the law,” he said, declining to comment further due to the ongoing investigation.
The Chief Minister added, “I do not know who Snehamayi Krishna is, nor have I met him. I am not aware of what cases are pending against him.”
Allegations by H D Kumaraswamy
Regarding Kumaraswamy’s recent allegations against Lokayukta ADGP M Chandrashekhar, Siddaramaiah remarked that the JD(S) leader was making baseless claims. “H D Kumaraswamy has made mistakes and hence he makes false allegations against others. It is not appropriate to comment on officials,” he said, adding that he did not wish to respond to every statement made by Kumaraswamy.
Kumaraswamy had recently accused ADGP Chandrashekhar of corruption and demanded his suspension. The Lokayukta officer is involved in ongoing investigations, some of which are related to allegations against Kumaraswamy himself.
Rave Party Allegations
Siddaramaiah also addressed reports about an alleged rave party that reportedly took place on the outskirts of Mysuru. “The police have informed me about it. They will investigate the matter and take appropriate action,” he assured, confirming that the incident was being taken seriously by law enforcement.
