Mysuru: Former Chief Minister and JD (S) leader H. D. Kumaraswamy on Saturday December 4 sarcastically said that if the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) think that dynastic politics is not right, then let them come out with a law.
Speaking to mediapersons here he was referring to statement of Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah that the JD (S) should be renamed JDF (Janata Dal Family).
Kumaraswamy said, “He has no moral right to comment on dynastic politics. His son Dr. Yathinddra Siddaramaiah is an MLA. Siddaramaiah’s
other son late Rakesh was also in active politics. We have many cases at the state and national level. Let there be a law on the number of people who can be in politics.”
On the ensuing Legislative Council elections, the JD(S) leader said, “There is no tie-up with anyone wherever we are contesting. There is a triangular fight in all six constituencies. Keeping the 2023 Assembly elections in mind, we will decide whom to support.”
Kumaraswamy also hit out at those who were resorting to personal vendetta during elections.
Answering to another question, he said, “Siddaramaiah says JD (S) is BJP’s ‘B’ team. I think he has no control over his
tongue. He has been saying the same thing since 2018. His statement will backfire in the days to come.”
