Mysuru: State former revenue minister and political heavy weight from Mysuru region is expected to submit his resignation for legislator’s post on October 17.

He has sought an appointment with state assembly speaker KB Koliwad on October 17 and during that meeting he is expected to submit his resignation for the post of legislator. He has shown inclination to stay away from active politics too, according to reliable sources.

After inspecting development works at Nanjangud in his home constituency, Srinivas Prasad said, decision to quit was delayed due to the events that took place after SC verdict went against the home state on Cauvery issue as well as Dasara celebrations.

The dust has settled now paving way for him quit as a legislator following differences with state CM Siddaramaiah who dropped him from the state cabinet during the cabinet reshuffle.
