Mysuru: The Central Law minister DV Sadananda Gowda opined that the state image has been dented at the national level due to the misdeeds of the Congress government at the state.
Addressing a news conference in Mysuru on Monday, Gowda said that with the looming Rajya Sabha polls, the Congress is desperate to plant victory flag and in this direction the Congress leaders are engaging into resort politics, trying to fish as many seats as possible.
The indulgence in resort politics by national parties is not a healthy trend, he said.
Coming down heavily on the chief minister he said, the state is not ruled by him but the coterie around him.
In the forthcoming mayoral elections the BJP is ready to align with the JDS if they come forward. The internal bickering within the JDS has turned it into a divided house and BJP is not willing to capitalize on the situation, he remarked.
Due to internal differences the BJP lost power, though the party government did well during its five year tenure. However he said BJP will regain power and put an end to the Congress misrule, he concluded.
