Mysuru: A Subramanyeshwara Rao is likely to take charge as Police Commissioner of Mysuru city. The decision was taken after the post fell vacant following the transfer of B Dayananda. The State government passed the order on Friday, October 21.
Subramanyeshwara is the 2002 IPS batch officer. He had earlier served as the Superintendent of Police in Mangaluru. Before taking charge as Superintendent of Police in Mangaluru, he had also served in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) .
It may be recalled, former city police commissioner B Dayananda was transferred as the Inspector General of Police (Intelligence), Bengaluru on October 6.
