Mysuru: A hotel is creating waves on Independence Day for the right reasons. It has a unique distinction with all its employees singing the national anthem before they begin day’s operations, when most forget after major events.
“Suggi Mane”, (Harvest home), situated at Bogadi in the city is continuing the trend of singing national anthem everyday for the last 3 years without failing to pay rich tributes to nation’s soldiers and martyrs for their selfless sacrifice.
The day begins with prayers to the deity of the land Bhuvaneshwari followed by the national anthem. Soldiers are given a whopping 18 percent discount on all bills whenever they visit the restaurant-in simple terms they avail total GST waiver!
“During my visit to Kashmir, I saw the difficulties encountered by our soldiers with my bare eyes. I have a great regard for them and had an inclination to join Indian armed forces during my youth. Unable to do that, the only way to honour and pay tribute to them is through this practice,” says Suggimane proprietor Ramesh and adds, “It gives more vitality to all those working here to serve people with extra vigour, when we begin the day by showing respect to our motherland.”
