Mysuru: The contents of death note left by Tahsildar before ending life cannot be made public as the deceased official held important position in government, said Superintendent of Police Ravi D Chennanavar on July 22.

SP is in possession of the death note left behind by Tahsildar Shankariah, who committed suicide at the official residence last Saturday at T Narsipur.

After investigation, the death note will be handed over to the court, confirmed SP.

Meanwhile, Shankaraiah’s wife urged the SP to reveal the contents without further delay. She contended that her husband did not suffer from serious illness but did come under pressure after he failed to get transfer.

Former MP H Vishwanath said, refusal by SP to disclose the contents of death note gave rise to many doubts in public sphere and demanded the revelation of the contents at the earliest.
