Mysuru: Even though the election code of conduct is in effect, the security for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be visiting Mysuru to participate in the BJP rally on April 9 at the Maharaja College Grounds, will be the same as before, said Deputy Commissioner Abhiram Sankar.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be given the same level of security as always during his visit to Mysuru on April 9. He will be taking part in the BJP rally at the Maharaja Grounds. As per the information given to us, the Prime Minister will arrive at the Mysuru airport on April 9 at 4.50 PM. From there, he will move directly to the venue by road. He will take part in the rally till 5.50 PM, after which he will travel back to the Mysuru airport and depart to Coimbatore,” the DC added.
He also mentioned that all security measures have been taken care of and that a meeting in this regard was held on Saturday. The instructions regarding the same were given to all the departments including health, fire, PWD and police. “A camp office and green room will be set up for the Prime Minister. Apart from this, there will also be a safe house, the location of which will not be disclosed,” he said.
As per the PM’s schedule, he will arrive at the Mysuru airport at 4.50 PM. He will reach the Maharaja College Grounds at 5 PM, where the rally will be held from till 5.50 PM. After this, the PM will leave for the airport and depart to Coimbatore at 6 PM.
