Thieves burgle head constable’s house; Rs 1,45 lakhs cash, 130 grams of gold stolen

Mysuru: In a rather rare incident, thieves burgled the house of a police head constable and made away with Rs Rs 1,45 lakhs cash and 130 grams of gold, in Gayathripuram police station limits.

The thieves entered the house of Shivanna, a resident of Gayathripuram and head constable attached to Armed Forces(CAR).

The incident came to the notice after Shivanna returned home.

It is learnt that the robbers entered from the back door, seeing the house empty.

Immediately, after noticing that his house had been burgled, Shivanna informed the Nazarbad police who later rushed to his house for investigation.

A complaint has been registered at Nazarbad police station and a manhunt has been launched for the thieves.
