Mysuru: Wild animal attacks continue to cause concern in the Mysuru district, with the latest incident reported from Nanjapur village in Hunsur taluk, where a tiger attacked a cow on Friday.

The injured cow belongs to farmer Muddegouda, who had let it out to graze in a nearby field. The tiger suddenly pounced on the cow, leaving villagers in shock.

On spotting the predator, local farmers raised an alarm, shouting loudly in panic. Startled by the noise, the tiger abandoned the cow and fled back into the surrounding forest.

The cow sustained injuries in the attack and is being treated. This incident has heightened fear among villagers, who now demand stronger forest department intervention to prevent further attacks.

Wildlife movement near farmlands has increased, and locals are urging authorities to track and relocate the animal before a human casualty occurs.
