Mysuru: Two Research Scholars from SDM RCMS the research unit of SDMIMD, Mysore, was awarded PhD degrees by the University of Mysore, Mysuru,

 

Vighnesh S Goankar, Research Scholar from Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Research Center for Management Studies (SDM RCMS) the research unit of SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore, was awarded PhD degree by the University of Mysore, Mysuru, for his thesis ‘Performance and risk measurement of select mutual funds: with special reference to passive investments across tenure’. The research work was guided by Dr NR Parasuraman, Director & Professor – Finance, SDMIMD, Mysore.

The research findings have been presented and published in various national and international level conferences and Journals. The research gave insights to retail investors, fund managers and to governing authority. The research considers risk- adjusted return generated by mutual funds. The study also covers suggestions on selection of type of fund for a given timeframe, informed by a press release by Dr. Sunil M.V., Head – Academic Administration, SDMIMD, Mysore.

 

Vikram AG, Research Scholar from Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Research Center for Management Studies (SDM RCMS) the research unit of SDM Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysore, was awarded PhD degree by the University of Mysore, Mysuru, for his thesis ‘Improvements in Measuring Systematic Risk in Indian Capital Markets with reference to Beta’. The research work was guided by Dr NR Parasuraman, Director & Professor – Finance, SDMIMD, Mysore.

 The research findings have been presented and published in various national and international level conferences and Journals. The research gave insights into new risk measurement methods and tools along with a literature survey related to aspects of risk measurement informed by a press release by Dr Sunil M.V., Head – Academic Administration, SDMIMD, Mysore.
