Mysuru: “We are running the coalition government as per the provision in our Constitution. Without any doubt, Governor Vajubhai Vala will address the join session of legislature on Wednesday, February 6 and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy who also holds the finance portfolio will present the budget on February 8,” said Deputy Chief Minister Parameshwara.

Parameshwara was in Suttur to take part in the annual Suttur Jathra Mahotsav. Addressing the media, he said, “The Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party leader B S Yeddyurappa is very desperate to become chief minister and hence doing his best to topple the coalition government. Though they are trying their level best by adopting unconstitutional measures, they will not succeed. By being in opposition, instead of guiding and giving suggestions to run the government they are trying to destabilise the same. On Monday, some of the BJP leaders were saying that the government will not present its proposed budget on February 8. I also went through the clipping and even had a talk with Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.”

Vishwanath also said, “The present government under the leadership of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will complete the five year term without any hurdles. No one can topple the government.”

Vishwanath to be Janata Dal (S) state chief

“Though I had requested Devegowda to relieve me from the state president’s post due to my health condition, he has told me to continue till the parliamentary elections”, he said.
