Mysuru: Within just eight hours of kidnap, the alert Hebbal Police managed to arrest all the three persons involved including the prime accused and rescued the woman who was taken away from Sankranthi Circle in Mysuru on Monday.

On Monday, 24-year-old Nethravathi, a resident of Hosur of Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, who works in the city, was waiting for her pick-up van when Naveen along with his two friends kidnapped her. The accused Naveen who is apparently a friend of Nethravathi, asked her to get into the car near Sankranthi circle. When she showed reluctance, Naveen along with his friends dragged her into the car and drove away.

Nethravathi’s friend Shwetha, who was with her during the incident, after going to office called the former but her phone was switched off. Immediately, Swetha registered a complaint at Hebbal Police Station and also gave the car number in which Nethravathi was kidnapped. The alert Hebbal police led by Inspector Thimmegowda without wasting time swung into action and alerted all the check posts.

The police were successful in arresting all the three including Naveen who is accused No.1 in the case and also rescued Nethravathi. The operation was led by Inspector Thimmegowda and ASI Shivananju. During interrogation, it was found that Nethravathi and Naveen who both belong to Tamil Nadu were friends before the latter was arrested for his alleged involvement in a murder case. Few days ago, Naveen was out on bail and on Monday he had come to Mysuru to meet Nethrvathi.
