Mysuru: In celebration of the Dasara festival, a Nandi Puja will take place at Balarama Dwara of Mysore Palace on October 24th, from 1:46 PM to 2:08 PM during the auspicious Makara Lagna. Following this, the renowned Vijayadashami procession will commence with dignitaries flagging it off at the Golden Howdah inside the Palace, taking place in the auspicious Meena Lagna from 4:40 PM to 5:00 PM.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of the Karnataka government will inaugurate the program, with Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar in attendance. The function will be presided over by T.S. Srivatsa, the MLA of Krishnaraja. Notable chief guests will include Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, a member of the royal family of Mysuru, as well as Dr. B.R. Shivakumar, the Minister for Social Welfare, and Mysuru District In-charge.
Among those present will also be H.C. Mahadevappa, the Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture, and Thangadagi Shivaraj Sangappa, the Minister for Backward Classes Welfare and Kannada and Culture. Additionally, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Shivakumar and various others will attend the event.
During Mysuru Dasara, a torchlight parade is scheduled for October 24th at 7:30 PM, taking place at the grounds where Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot will observe the parade and salute.
Dignitaries in attendance will include Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar, Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Coal, and Mines Prahlad Joshi, Minister of State for Skill Development and Commerce and Electronics Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment A. Narayanasamy, and Minister of State for Chemicals, Fertilizers, and Renewable Energy Bhagwant Khuba.
The esteemed presence of Social Welfare Minister and Mysuru District In-charge Minister, Dr. B.S. Sudhakar, will grace the event as the chief guest. Presiding over the program will be H.C. Mahadevappa, along with Animal Husbandry and Sericulture Minister K. Venkatesh, Backward Classes Welfare and Kannada and Culture Minister Thangadagi Shivaraja Sangappa, MCC Mayor Shivakumar, and Narasimharaja MLA Tanveer Sait.
