Dakshina Kannada: The sacred festival of Nagar Panchami, regarded as one of the final traditional festivals of the season, was celebrated with great devotion at the historic Kukke Subramanya Temple.
Since early morning, large numbers of devotees thronged the temple town to offer prayers to the Naga God (Serpent Deity). The highlight of the ritual involved the abhishekam (sacred bathing) of the serpent idol using milk and siyala (a special mixture), a deeply symbolic gesture of reverence and purification.
Kukke Subramanya, known for its strong spiritual significance in serpent worship, transformed into a spiritual hub as chants and rituals echoed through the temple complex. The celebration was marked by a serene yet vibrant devotional atmosphere.
