BALLARY: Recent rainfall in Tekkalakote has resulted in a remarkable discovery of Neolithic-era artifacts around the ash mound area. Village accountant Nadaf reported that farmers stumbled upon large, foot-long bones believed to be the remains of ancient animals, igniting interest in the archaeological significance of the site.

The site has yielded an array of important archaeological findings, which include:

  • Hunting projectiles
  • Axe-shaped tools
  • Tools used for animal skinning
  • Fragments of water storage vessels

Manohar C.M., a history researcher and lecturer, expressed his excitement regarding the findings. The relevant authorities need to take immediate steps to protect this historically significant location,” he emphasised, highlighting the urgency of preserving the site.
