Dharwad: Children’s literature and former president of Karnataka Balavikasa Academy Shankar Halagatti said that parents should encourage the talent of children.
He spoke at the Karnataka Kulpurohita Aluru Venkatarava Cultural Bhavan in the city this morning while inaugurating the program of the closing ceremony of the district-level children’s summer camp under the joint auspices of Rajya Bala Bhavan Society Bangalore, Zilla Panchayat, Women and Child Development Department and Zilla Bala Bhavan.
Interest should be developed in children, and psychological pressures on children should be found and remedied. Don’t kill art, cherish art. It is our responsibility to guide children well. Children have enormous talent. It needs to be recognized and encouraged. Every parent should know. In this regard, the process of transparently implementing the schemes and programs designed by the government for children should be continuous, he said.
Children’s writer Ninganna Kunti said, “Children’s art cannot be valued, children’s questions are not a shame for us, their questions are an honor for us.” Children don’t need to be taught, we have a lot to learn from children. He said that the children have been trained hard for 15 days.
District Balabhavan Secretary and Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department Dr. H.H. Kukanura presided over the program and said that children should not waste time and practice activities that interest them. Kiwi told the children that they can be successful if they try hard.
Women and Child Development Department District Narrative Officer Anupama Angadi, Women and Child Development Officer Kanchana Amate, and the staff of the department were present.
