Police raid residence at Karkala: Seize 25 kgs of beef, rescue cattle

Udupi: Local police here Friday October 22 seized 25 kgs of beef from a house and rescued cattle that were about to be slaughtered at Sankalakariya, Mundkoor Village, Karkala of the District.

On a definte tip-off, the Karkala Rural Police raided the residence of Rahim and rescued three calves and five cows. It is alleged that they were meant to be slaughtered.

A case has been registered at the Karkala Rural Police Station. Cattle have been handed over to a nearby Goshala.
