Raichur, Karnataka: A tragic road accident occurred on Tuesday near Mannikeri Camp, on the outskirts of Javalagera, when a truck driven by Amaresh Basavaraj collided with a stationary truck carrying timber. The driver, who was traveling from Hospet to Raichur, was reportedly driving at high speed when the accident took place.
Amaresh sustained severe head injuries, along with damage to his stomach and knees. Despite being rushed to Sindhanur Taluk Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital, near the Javalagera bus stand. The front of his truck was heavily damaged in the crash.
A case has been registered at the Balagavoor Police Station, with Sub-Inspector Yariyappa Angadi leading the investigation.
