Gundlupet: Parents who donated the organs of their brain-dead son have also proved their worth in the death of their son, the family members of Rakesh, a youth from Gundlupet town, who donated his organs, have made Rakesh’s name a beacon for the lives of four people.
The youth, identified as Rakesh, a resident of Gundlupet town, was working in a private finance company and was rushed to Chamarajanagar district hospital for first aid by his colleagues after he suddenly collapsed while working in the office.
After the doctors examined him and advised him to be admitted to a hospital in Mysuru after he was diagnosed with brain haemorrhage, his friends and family were shocked that Rakesh would survive after undergoing the first stage of the surgery.
As soon as the news of Rakesh’s brain-dead condition reached the family, they broke down in tears, but amidst the grief, they found meaning in his passing. The parents, who realized the value of organ donation, made a momentous decision to donate his organs to four individuals, lighting the path to life for them. The noble act of donating the organs was highly appreciated by the entire society, and doctors and the public paid their respects by offering flowers to his body at the BGS Hospital in Mysuru.
