High-Speed Crash Claims Three Lives Near Ramanagara
Ramanagara: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of three youths from Bengaluru and left another critically injured after their speeding car crashed into a tree near Ammallidoddi on Sunday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Abhi (21), Deepak (22), and Madhu (32), all residents of Kamakshipalya. Chiru, the fourth occupant, sustained a serious head injury and is receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
According to Akkur police, the group had travelled to Kabbalu in Kanakapura taluk to attend an event. They were returning to Bengaluru around 6:45 pm when Madhu, who was driving the vehicle at high speed, lost control and rammed into a roadside tree near Ammallidoddi.
The impact was so severe that the vehicle was completely mangled. Locals rushed to the spot, extricated the victims, and took them to a hospital. Unfortunately, Abhi, Deepak, and Madhu succumbed to their injuries.
Police suspect that the group was under the influence of alcohol, and have registered a case against the late driver Madhu. The post-mortem report is awaited to confirm the presence of alcohol.
This incident has once again raised concerns about drunk driving and speeding, especially among youth.
