A 38-year-old rowdy sheeter, Rajesh Shetty, was brutally hacked to death in broad daylight on Saturday near Bomanakatte, in what appears to be a result of an old personal grudge. The attack occurred around 1 PM near a garage close to Marammanagudi on the old Bommanakatte main road.

Rajesh Shetty, who had a criminal history with seven cases registered against him at the Vinoba Nagar police station, reportedly died on the spot due to the severity of the assault. Sources suggest that the murder was motivated by a longstanding personal vendetta.

Following the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar Bhooma Reddy and officers from the Vinoba Nagar police station visited the crime scene to begin the investigation. District Defense Officer GK Mithun Kumar confirmed that three special teams had been formed to track down the assailants. He added, “We have gathered information about the accused, and preliminary findings suggest the killing was driven by personal reasons.”

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to apprehend those responsible for the heinous act.
