In Karwar, the district administration has halted the search operation related to the Shiroor landslide case. Despite efforts by a team of drowning experts, the lorry and the bodies of the three missing individuals—Arjun from Kerala, Jagannath Nayka from Shiroor, and Lokesh have not been located.
The Gangavali River’s water level has risen, complicating the recovery efforts. The district administration struggled to lift the lorry due to the accumulation of mud, rocks, and logs in the river, leading to the suspension of the operation.
A coordinated search effort was undertaken by teams from the Navy, Army, NDRF, SDRF, Fire Brigade, HESCOM, and Ishwar Malpe. While they encountered submerged debris such as a banyan tree log, an electric pole, and wires, they have not yet found the missing lorry or the individuals.
