Boiler Blast at Shivamogga Rice Mill Leaves Seven Injured, One Missing
Shivamogga: A devastating boiler explosion at Ganesh Rice Mill on the Bhadravati-Channagiri road left seven people injured and one person missing on Thursday evening at 6:20 PM. The injured are being treated at the Bhadravati Government Hospital, while efforts to locate the missing worker are ongoing, according to Shivamogga SP Mithun Kumar.
The powerful blast scattered metal fragments across the neighboring Annanagar Hosamane locality, damaging nearby residential properties. Fire and emergency services, along with local police, promptly arrived at the scene and are continuing rescue and search operations.
A case has been registered at Hosamane Police Station in Bhadravati, and authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
