A serious bus accident occurred near the Bommanakatte railway gate in Shivamogga on Wednesday, injuring about 20 passengers, including schoolchildren. The private bus, which was traveling from Bommanakatte to Gopala, lost control and crashed into a ditch.
Witnesses reported that the bus first collided with an electricity pole, then crashed against a fence before overturning. Local residents quickly responded, providing assistance to the injured passengers.
The injured individuals were transported to McGann Hospital for treatment. The Vinoba Nagar police arrived at the scene and have registered a case regarding the incident.
