Shimoga: During a progress review meeting at the taluk panchayat hall in Hosnagar, MLA Gopalakrishna Belur expressed his dissatisfaction with the conduct of revenue officials. He questioned their effectiveness, especially during the rainy season when many disasters occur in the area.
MLA Belur emphasized that all officers should be present and available to the people during this critical time. He criticized some officers for residing far away in Shimoga, making it difficult for them to respond promptly to people’s needs. He warned everyone to stay in a central position and take immediate action against those who fail to fulfill their duties properly.
Furthermore, he instructed the Town Panchayat Administrative Office to send a proposal to the government for constructing a new building. MLA Belur suggested that a beautiful building could be constructed with reasonable funds and encouraged town panchayat officials to seek additional funding if necessary.
The meeting was attended by Tahsildar Rashmi Halesh, EO Narendra Kumar, Field Education Officer H.R. Krishnamurthy, Taluk Health Officer Dr. Suresh, and Manju Sanakkai.
