Shimoga: In a timely intervention, police rescued a mother and her two children who attempted to commit suicide due to family disputes in Kugve village, Sagar taluk. The mother, Sangeeta (33), and her children, Preeti (13) and Prajwal (9), residents of Analekoppa, were saved thanks to the prompt action of the police.

Locals alerted the police after witnessing the attempted suicide, and officers rushed to the scene, rescuing the trio.

The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Sagar Rural Police Station. The swift response of the police saved three precious lives, averting a tragedy.
