Shivamogga: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 55-year-old man near Sakrebailu in Shivamogga taluk recently, after the car he was driving crashed into a tree along the roadside.

The deceased has been identified as Shridhar. The mishap occurred within the jurisdiction of the Tunga Nagar Police Station. Preliminary findings suggest that Shridhar may have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid off the road and collide with a tree before toppling to the side.

He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to McGann Hospital in Shivamogga. Unfortunately, medical staff declared him brought dead.

Authorities have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
