The Shivamogga district police conducted special foot patrols and area domination exercises on Monday evening across all its subdivisions. This initiative aimed to deter anti-social elements and maintain public order. The patrols served as a warning to those who might consider taking the law into their own hands, assuring the public of the police department’s commitment to swift action against such individuals.

Police teams led by deputy superintendents of police (DySPs), inspectors, and sub-inspectors, along with their staff, participated in the operation. These teams conducted patrols in specific areas:

In Shivamogga A Sub-division: KR Puram, Sigehatti, Gandhi Bazaar, in Shivamogga B Sub-division: Ravindra Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Kumsi, Shikaripura Sub-division: Shikaripura town limits (Vinayaka Nagar, Belawant Koppa, Hirekerur Road) and Shiralkoppa town limits, Sagar Town Limits: Gandhi Nagar, Keladi Road, Anandpur, Ashok Nagar, Bhadravati Sub-division: Hutta, Sante Maidan, Ashwath Nagar, Arebilachi, Holehonnur (NT Circle)

During these patrols, the police registered a total of 44 petty cases against individuals involved in public nuisance or deemed suspicious.
