Shivamogga Police Solve Burglary Case; Recover Gold Worth Rs 4.80 Lakh

Shivamogga: District police have arrested the accused in a burglary case and recovered stolen gold ornaments weighing 87 grams worth Rs 4.80 lakh. 


On February 16, Sadashiva Gowda of Jade village, Anavatti, reported a burglary at his residence. Anavatti Police formed a team to solve the case. The investigating team took action, and on May 18, they apprehended the accused, Basanna alias Sharifi (26), resident of Hakkipikki Camp, Hasudi Farm, Shivamogga. The team also recovered stolen gold ornaments with a total weight of 87 grams, estimated to be worth ₹4,85,000.
