A shocking incident in Shivamogga, Karnataka, has gone viral after an SUV driver allegedly dragged a traffic police officer on his vehicle’s bonnet when asked to stop. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon as officer Prabhu attempted to halt the SUV driven by Mithun Jagadale, a cable operator, during routine checks near Sahyadri College.

Video footage shows Mithun arguing with the officer and refusing to comply with the stop signal. Instead of pulling over, he accelerated, dragging Officer Prabhu for over 100 meters before fleeing the scene. Thankfully, the officer managed to cling to the bonnet, narrowly avoiding serious injury or worse.

Shivamogga Superintendent of Police Mithun confirmed the incident, stating that it took place around 2 PM while traffic police were conducting checks on vehicles arriving from Bhadravati. The dramatic encounter has raised serious concerns regarding road safety and police authority.
