A tragic accident occurred on Sunday near Kerekodi in Shivamogga district when a tourist car, en route to Sigandur, overturned, leading to the death of a 26-year-old man from Nelamangala, Bengaluru. Reports indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge into a nearby paddy field.
The car was carrying a group of young tourists from Bengaluru. In addition to the deceased, several passengers were seriously injured, including Nandan from Kodagu, Kodanda from Kolar, Bharath from Hassan, and Yogesh from Mandya.
Kumsi police are currently on the scene, investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
