In Shivamogga, a 23-year-old doctor from a private medical college was found dead in her hostel room on Holehonnur Road. The deceased has been identified as Vishnupriya, originally from Bengaluru. Her parents currently reside in a European country. She had recently completed her course and was preparing to leave the campus.
Police sources suggest family issues may have contributed to this tragic event. At the time, Vishnupriya was alone in the hostel as her classmates had already left. Concerned classmates tried calling her multiple times, and when she did not respond, they informed college authorities. The room was opened to discover the incident.
Her body was sent to the district general hospital for post-mortem examination. The exact cause of death is still under investigation, with the Shivamogga rural police registering a case.
