Madikeri: Thousands of devotees gathered at Talacauvery in Kodagu district on Thursday morning to witness the sacred Cauvery Theerthodhbava, which occurred at 7:40 am. The priests declared the onset of the Theerthodhbava, igniting jubilant celebrations among the crowd.
As the priests sprinkled the holy water, devotees raised their hands in reverence, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to collect the Theertham.
A large procession of devotees walked from Bhagamandala to Talacauvery, a cherished tradition marking this sacred event. To facilitate the pilgrimage, KSRTC arranged free bus services from Bhagamandala to Talacauvery. The idol immersion area had already seen a significant influx of devotees since Wednesday night, adding to the festive atmosphere.
