
Thieves Arrested for Stealing ₹2 Lakh from Parked Car in Chintamani
Chintamani : The police have solved a theft case involving ₹2 lakh stolen from a parked car in front of a hotel on Kolar Road. The accused, Hulagappa (27) from Shimoga city, and his accomplice Subhash, were arrested on Wednesday.
The incident occurred on August 14 when RV Sivakumar, a timber merchant from Doddaballapur, parked his car and entered the hotel. Upon returning, he found the money missing. An investigation team led by Inspector Vijikumar was formed, and the police seized ₹1.53 lakh and a two-wheeler from the accused.
The accused have been sent to judicial custody. The swift action by the police team, including Sub-Inspector Prakash and others, ensured the recovery of a significant portion of the stolen amount and brought the culprits to justice.
