In a tragic incident early Tuesday morning, a motorcycle collided with a divider at SKS Junction on National Highway 66, located between Kuntikana and KPT. The crash led to the death of two riders and left another injured.
According to the police, the victims have been identified as Sankeerth (23), a student at AJ Dental College, and Dhanurved (19), from Srinivas Hotel Management College. The injured passenger, Cibi Sam (22), also a student at AJ Dental College, was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Rohan Jobi, a close friend of the victims, explained that the group had left their homes in Lohith Nagar with plans to stop for tea. Jobi and Meghanath rode one bike, while Sankeerth, Dhanurved, and Cibi traveled together on another. Sadly, Sankeerth, who was riding the second bike, lost control and collided with the divider, causing all three riders to be thrown onto NH 66. Sankeerth and Dhanurved suffered severe injuries and were declared dead en route to the hospital.
The incident has left the local community in shock and raised concerns about road safety.
