Mysuru: Following heavy rains in the recent days, a heritage tree at a park got uprooted damaging electric line and cars at Sri Harsha Road in the City on Friday November 12.
A massive tree at Dr. Rajkumar Park fell on the road leaving behind a couple of cars parked on the roadside damaged. Electric poles also crashed in the incident. Fortunately no casualties were reported.
Abhaya, an emergency response team of Mysuru City Corporation and CESC personnel who swung into action, closed the road for traffic till the tree was cleared for smooth traffic flow.
