
Boiler Explosion Claims Lives of Two Labourers in Tumakuru
Tumakuru: A tragic boiler explosion at the Parimala Agro Food Factory in the Antarasanahalli Industrial Area resulted in the deaths of two labourers on Tuesday evening. The victims, identified as Santosh Sharma (27) and Chandan Kumar (26), were both from Bihar.
The factory, where rice husk is used to produce oil, employed five workers at the time of the incident. The blast occurred during the evening hours, causing immediate fatalities.
This incident adds to the rising concerns about workplace safety in industrial areas. In a separate incident, a gas leak at the Kamini Ispat factory near Ginigera in Koppal district led to the death of one worker, while ten others sustained injuries.
Both incidents have prompted calls for stricter safety measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
