Tumakuru, Karnataka: Nine people, including the driver, sustained injuries when an SUV lost control and flipped over late Friday night near Bugudur village, officials reported.
According to the police, the accident occurred when the driver swerved abruptly to avoid a stray dog that suddenly appeared on the road. The vehicle, carrying construction workers and their equipment, was en route home after completing work in Thirumani village.
Among the injured, seven are women, and two individuals are in critical condition, according to authorities from Thirumani police station. The victims are currently receiving treatment at Tumkur District Hospital and Pavagadh Hospital.
Police have inspected the accident site, and further investigations are underway.
