Kundur Thimmaiah, the district coordinator of Dalit Sangharsh Samiti, stated that microfinance companies are using thugs to intimidate Dalits and ordinary people across the country. He demanded that legal action be taken against such individuals and the licenses of microfinance companies involved in violence and oppression be revoked. Additionally, he called for compensation of ₹25 lakh to be provided to families who have lost members due to these acts of violence. Thimmaiah also stressed the need for waiving microfinance loans and registering cases against microfinance owners and thugs.

The Sub-Divisional Officer received their request during the protest march and assured them that it would be brought to the government’s attention. He further mentioned that appropriate action would be taken against those responsible for these atrocities.
