In a disturbing incident at a government school in Huliyar, Tumakuru district, police have arrested seven individuals for allegedly pelting stones at the girls’ toilet and assaulting a student who confronted them. Two more suspects are on the run.
Brutal Assault on Student
The accused—Mehboob Sharif, Shamshuddin, Irfan, Mubaraq, Muddassir, Yasin, and Tazim—all residents of Huliyar, allegedly threw stones at the girls’ toilet. When Yashwanth, a student, objected, they chased and assaulted him with sticks.
Rescue and Police Action
Teachers and staff rescued the injured student, who suffered head and back injuries and was admitted to a government hospital in Chikkanayakanahalli. The school administration promptly filed a complaint, leading to swift arrests.
