Accused Acquitted in Murder Case Due to Lack of Evidence

Udupi: The Second Additional District and Sessions Court of Udupi has acquitted Vignesh Kutty and Naveen Kumar in connection with a murder that occurred near the bridge near Indrali Railway Station, Nagaban, on July 21, 2022. The victim, Kumar, allegedly provoked the accused by uttering derogatory remarks about Vignesh Kutty’s mother. In response, the accused reportedly struck Kumar on the head with a stick, resulting in fatal injuries.

After hearing all the witnesses mentioned in the final report submitted by the police, Second Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Dinesh Hegde acquitted the accused due to lack of evidence. Advocate Cherkadi Akhil B. Hegde represented the accused in this case.
