Udupi: CSI Lombard Memorial Hospital, Udupi, will hold a blood donation camp on August 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Hall near the School of Nursing Compound, Mission Hospital, Udupi.
The event is being organised in collaboration with Red Cross Blood Bank Kundapura, Red Cross Udupi Unit, Youth Red Cross Udupi, Badagabettu Credit Co-Operative Society Udupi, Lions Club Chethana Udupi, Kala Kiran Club Bailoor Udupi, Udupi Runners Club (R) Udupi, Blood Help Care Karnataka (R), and Upendra Pai Memorial College, Kunjibettu.
Aimed at promoting voluntary blood donation and addressing the increasing need for blood in hospitals and emergencies, the drive invites students, professionals, and residents to participate. Eligible donors must be aged 18–65 years, weigh at least 50 kg, and be in good health. A basic health screening will be conducted prior to donation.
Refreshments and certificates of appreciation will be given to all donors. “A single unit of blood can save up to three lives. We invite everyone to join this noble cause and make a difference,” said Dr. Sushil Jathanna, Director of LMH.
The camp will be held under the supervision of trained medical professionals, with strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
