Udupi: The decomposed body of an unidentified man was discovered on Thursday in the Indrani Stream near Vidyodaya School in Bylakere, Udupi. Authorities suspect the man may have been deceased for about three days, though his identity and address remain unknown. Relatives of the deceased are encouraged to contact the city police station.
Local resident Sunil Bailakere found the body and promptly informed social worker Nithyananda Ulkadu. Together, they retrieved the body from the stream. ASI Naveen Devadiga and Head Constable Taranath of the City Police Station were present at the scene to conduct an initial investigation.
The cause of death has yet to be determined, and investigations are ongoing. Umesh Bailakere assisted in transporting the body to the autopsy centre at Ajjarkadu district hospital, with a free ambulance service provided for this purpose.
